Network Operations Centres

These specialised centres perform a number of crucial network management functions:

  • Service level management of REACH’s customer services.
  • Surveillance/control of the network.
  • Co-ordination of restoration activities.
  • Co-ordination of planned events.

The REACH Network Operations Centres combine a high level of technical expertise with a distributed NOC approach. The distributed NOC approach means that the management of the core platform is separated from the service layer, providing numerous network management efficiencies which flow through to customers in the form of improved service levels and a more resilient network. This approach also enables the Network Operations Centres to optimize all available skills and resources within the centres.

The NOCs are located in Hong Kong and Sydney. Each facility has remote access and control capabilities with the major network elements in all REACH’s global operational points of presence.
